वर्ष 2009 मैं ब्राजील रूस, भारत व चीन ने एक नए आर्थिक संगठन ब्रिक (BRIC) की स्थापना की। इस का प्रथम शिखर सम्मेलन 16जून, 2009 को को यूसी शहर येकेटरिनबर्ग में हुआ। 15अप्रेल,2010 मैं ब्राजीलिया मैं हुए इसके दूसरे सम्मेलन में दक्षिण अफ्रीका को इसके सदस्यता प्रदान करने की सहमति बनी। दक्षिण अफ्रीका के शामिल होने के बाद इसका नाम ब्रिक्स (BRICS-Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) हो गया। 14 अप्रेल,2011 मे राज्य (चीन) में हुए तीसरे सम्मेलन में दक्षिण अफ्रीका पहली बार शामिल हुआ। 15-16 जुलाई, 2014 के फोट्रालेजा (ब्राजील) सम्मेलन में ब्रिक्स विकास बैंक स्थापित करने की सहमति बनी। है इस प्रस्तावित बैंक का मुख्यालय चीन के शंघाई शहर में होगा। शुरुआती 6 वर्षों तक इसकी अध्यक्षता भारत के पास रहेगी तदुपरांत क्रम से ब्राजील वह रूस 5-5 वर्ष के लिए अध्यक्ष होंगे।

 In the year 2009, Brazil Russia, India and China set up a new economic organization BRIC (BRIC).  Its first summit took place on June 16, 2009 in roos the  city of Yeketerinburg.  In its second conference held in Brasilia on 15 April 2010, it was agreed to give South Africa its membership.  After South Africa was incorporated, it became BRICS (BRICS-Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa).  On 14 April 2011, South Africa joined the third conference in the state (China) for the first time.  At the Photraleja (Brazil) conference of 15–16 July 2014, it was agreed to set up a BRICS Development Bank.  The headquarters of this proposed bank will be in Shanghai city of China.  For the first 6 years, its presidency will remain with India followed by Brazil, he will be president for 5–5 years.
